This site is a showpiece of features that we can build into your website. The content is almost entirely database driven and includes information on nearly every retirement home and nursing home in Canada.
The website database also powers the annual book, "Comprehensive Guide to Retirement Living". Now in it's 14'th edition, it is the most complete directory of retirement homes in Ontario.
Aside from the home details, features include rotating ads, flash, video, employment listings, comprehensive search and a shopping cart which includes digital downloads.

There is a second control panel for Home Administrators where they can update their home information and add events or job listings for their particular home. The event and job listings are presented by province, city and date and can be removed with a single click by the site administrator as they expire. All changes made by a Home Administrator must be checked prior to being made live.
Senioropolis.com originally came to NTech for search engine optimization several years ago and our relationship with them has steadily grown. Our initial goal was to mine the vast extent of their data for optimized presentation of it to search engines. Knowing that 'Content is King', we designed or redesigned existing pages to ensure that every single page could be found and read by a search engine. Every search result, every home detail page, every article or testimonial - every single detail can be found in Google, MSN and Yahoo - and they are found prominently and often. Traffic has grown from a few hundred per day to over 1000 on a consistent basis.
When Senioropolis.com went national, we faced the challenge of taking a site with a strong Ontario-centric reputation and spreading it across the country without damaging the favourable rankings we already had. We responded with a 12 site approach where each province and the Northwest Territories have their own subdomain, which features content specific to the region as well as links directly into the main database. Every page of every site is reachable from the common navigation tree so the movement from one province to another and back to the national site is seamless. The results have been impressive, with Senioropolis.com dominating the industry specific search results in nearly every city across the country.
While we are immensely proud of the results we have achieved with the search optimizaion of this site one fact simply cannot be overlooked. This site dominates primarily because it is the most complete resource that exists on retirement living in Canada. The content is real, it is in depth and it is absolutely voluminous.
Esther and her staff have done an absolutely amazing job of compiling and presenting this data for over a decade and that, more than anything else is the main reason for their search success which has been achieved entirely organically, without need of any incoming link campaigns.
Without the data, it does matter what you do with search optimization and it cannot be faked.
We also create the CD version of the "Comprehensive Guide to Retirement Living" for each annual edition and this year we added an eBook version. As Senioropolis.com grows, we grow along with them, applying our unique and logical approach to each new feature request to ensure we get the expected results as efficiently as possible.
